For Teresa and Patrick, Scotland offered both a family connection and a country they were eager to explore. Campbell heritage gave their itinerary a personal centre, with castles and Highland landscapes around it.
Beginning with time in Edinburgh
We planned fourteen days at an unhurried pace. Edinburgh’s Old Town, Dean Village and historic landmarks made up the opening chapter, with space for individual interests and time to settle into the city.
Into Campbell country
The road through Stirling led towards Inveraray and places associated with Teresa’s Campbell heritage. Inveraray Castle and the landscape around it made that connection central to the plan. The journey then turned west through Glencoe and Glenfinnan, balancing family history with the wider Scotland they wanted to see.
Skye and the road home
The itinerary continued onto Skye, with its harbours, castles and dramatic scenery, before returning through Inverness and Perthshire. In their review, Teresa and Patrick said we had gone beyond everything they had hoped for. They loved every moment and were already looking forward to returning.
